A Summer Staff Testimony: It’s OK to Ask for Help

Jacob B. served with enthusiasm this summer in TN. Summer Staff, although it’s exciting, is also exhausting and humbling. Jacob wisely admits that he has limitations and needs God and others to help him.

“God has been showing me more of his grace and love this summer. He is teaching me that it’s OK to ask for help and acknowledge that there are areas I am weak in and need to grow. He is using others in my life to be there for me, at just the right time, to help me lean deeper into my relationship with Christ. He also is equipping me to be there for them when they need encouragement too.

I’m thankful that we all aren’t the same because I have seen the Lord use different personalities and spiritual gifts to reach the lost. One area the other staff was keeping me accountable was in the area of communication. I hope that I have become better at that through their accountability and prayer this summer.”
