Summer Mission Trips: The Basics for Campers

So you've been told that your youth group is getting ready to embark on a fun, exciting and rewarding summer mission trip with TEAMeffort. If you've never been on a mission trip before, you may not know what you'll be doing or what to expect out of it. We have answers for you based on feedback from thousands of other campers just like you.

When you participate in one of TEAMeffort's mission trips, you get to hang with your friends for a week, see a new state—or in some cases experience an entirely different culture—and meet and worship with new people from all over the U.S.

You'll have to work hard, but the experiences you'll gain from the mission projects are so rewarding that in the end, it doesn't feel like such hard work. Plus, along the way you'll make new friends, and experience Christ-centered worship and serving.

It won't all be work. You'll also enjoy fun evening games and activities, and lots of really cool free time activities like whitewater rafting, amusement parks, museums, mountain biking and more (based on trip location).

At the end of the week, your youth group with have a tighter bond and you'll walk away with a closer relationship with God, a new perspective on life and poverty, and the satisfaction of a job well done. Chances are, you'll also pick up a few helpful new skills and learn about the possible future opportunities to serve as a leader yourself.
