Several years ago, God led TEAMeffort to expand and relocate to Gainesville, Georgia. It has been a challenging and rewarding time, to say the least. We believed God was leading us to a place not only to establish a new headquarters, but also a year-round camp. The vision was for a camp that could be used as one of our summer mission bases as well as for staff training, staff retreats, and staff reunions. Last Spring, after several years of prayer and patience, we found and purchased what we all now know as the Outpost!  

Developing the Outpost will create some wonderful opportunities for what God has planned for TEAMeffort. It will become a place where we, and those who will serve in the future, can train for mission service before each summer and gather at the end of each summer to relax, reflect and worship. It will also be a place where we can get back together over the years to rekindle old friendships and reminisce about the crazy summers and absurd experiences we shared. Most importantly, it will become a place where we can all retreat and feel close to the God who caused
our paths to cross and our lives to be shared.

With this new project comes a lot of responsibility that we are eager to take on. As always with TEAMeffort, we have tried to use good stewardship and keep it simple. Our vision for the property is to improve the cabins that are in place to accommodate 75 people, and build two additional cabins that will double that capacity. We also plan to build an open air gathering area and a timber frame chapel…which is pretty exciting. Our hope is that everyone in the TEAMeffort family who has served over the years can be a part of the Outpost and the plans God has for it. That can be through everything from hands on projects to donations. In the 15 years since TEAMeffort
was first started we have never asked for financial support. We will not be soliciting any donations from “large” donors or mounting any big fundraising campaigns. That will limit our success, but will keep us grounded. So in
TEAMeffort’s usual unusual way of doing things we will keep it simple, authentic and in the family. It is simple in that any amount given from $10 a month to one time gifts really do have an impact. It is authentic because everything you give goes straight to building the Outpost. It is in the family because we truly believe
that if all of us get involved on some level we can make this happen. We simply want to offer those of you who have given so much of yourselves to the success of our past the opportunity to be a crucial part of TEAMeffort’s future.
