Mission Projects:
In the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania – the mountainous region southeast of Pittsburgh – youth will be able to serve local families and ministries in need through hands-on mission projects. These projects include painting, improving, and repairing homes for struggling families throughout the communities. Local churches and ministries will also be served as groups lend a hand to help maintain and improve their facilities.
Lodging:
Groups going to the Blue Knob All Seasons Resort in Claysburg, PA will be housed in the dorm-style facilities there with on-site showers, dining room, worship area, pool, and recreation facilities.
Groups going to the YMCA Camp T. Frank Soles in Rockwood, PA will be housed in bunk-style cabins. A rustic dining hall, chapel, sports fields, and lake are all on site as well.
All meals are provided except two lunches and tow dinners during free time.
Area Attractions:
Hiking trails, swimming areas, horseback riding, caverns, whitewater rafting….
Typical Schedule:
Sunday: Registration begins at 6:00 pm. Orientation, music and worship
Monday: Work on the mission projects. Evening music and worship
Tuesday: Work on mission projects. Sports and game night. Evening music and worship
Wednesday: Work on mission project. Evening music and worship
Thursday: Work on mission projects till lunch. Free afternoon. Evening closing worship service.
Friday: Free day to visit local attractions. Friday night fellowship.
Saturday: Depart by 10:00 am
Cost: $269/person
