Mission Projects:

Guatemala is a Representative Democracy in Central America bordered by both the Pacific Ocean and The Caribbean Sea. Groups will be staying and serving in the old Spanish colonial town of Antigua, which is about thirty miles west of the capitol, Guatemala City. Antigua offers a wonderful opportunity for youth to serve in a cross-cultural mission experience. The weak and shrinking economy has left many people without work and living in poverty. Groups will partner with local ministries and churches to help serve those in need through hands-on projects to bring homes back to livable conditions. Youth will also minister in the community through children’s outreach ministry and serving in clothing and food distribution centers. Your youth and leaders will experience a totally different culture and will form bonds relationships with the people they serve that will last a lifetime.

Lodging:

Groups will fly into Guatemala City and stay in bunk style facilities with on site showers, and meeting & worship areas. All food, ground transportation, project needs, evening programs & music are included.

Area Attractions:

Your group will have time to enjoy historic downtown Antigua and a free day to visit local volcanoes, tour ancient Mayan ruins in the jungle, or even go zip lining in the rainforest canopy.

Cost: $499 (excluding airfare)
