Mission Projects:
Nassau, Bahamas is a short flight from the United States and is one of the safest and most accessible locations for youth groups seeking to serve overseas and experience missions in a different culture. On New Providence Island, within the city of Nassau, are areas where families and individuals struggle with poverty in deplorable living conditions. While your youth will be able to work in one of these communities meeting the needs of people though hands-on home repair projects, they will also be showing their faith by caring for elderly homeowners and interacting with children in games and music. The work your group will accomplish will bring hope to a community in need and to people who are hurting, but it is the relationships with the people they serve that they will remember forever.
Lodging:
Groups will fly into Nassau and stay at a local church with onsite showers, gathering room, worship & dining pavillion, sports field, and a beach within walking distance. All food, ground transportation, project needs, evening programs & music are covered.
Area Attractions:
Groups will have time to walk to a local beach every day, and will have a free day to visit more beaches and the straw market. Your group will also have the option to charter an excursion on a boat to a private island to swim and snorkel on the free day.
